Ford Pick Up. [Owner
built]
Some
of the specs on the
truck:
Body
mods include doors
shaved, nose stretched,
every seam- joint and
hole I could find got
filled or welded solid,
all original steel I
piece tilt nose, (a 3
year project in itself),
rear
roll pan with frenched
'50 Pontiac blue dots.
(Learned
how to do body work)
Paint
is GM truck Indigo Blue
Pearl, base/clear,
(learned how to paint
too)
Front
suspension is a narrowed
Fat Man crossmember with
Heidts tubular stainless
upper and lowers with
coil overs and full size
disc brakes, rear is a
Currie 9" - 3.00:1 with
parallel leafs and Ford
drums all on a reworked
original '35-'40 frame
with C.E. X-member and
brake booster.
Flathead
came out of a 1946 pu,
(still up behind my
woodshed), is now 276 ci
built
by Motor City Flathead,
with a merc crank, ¾
grind cam and a pair of
Holly 94's on top.
Odds
and ends include a dash
made from 1/4"
thick copper buss bar,
custom built banjo
steering wheel, window
sills from a 1954 Woodie,
seats are a $50
"junk yard
find" from a 1994
Toyota 4Runner, Ball cap
is a swap meet piece
from a Plymouth with
hand made stainless end
trim. All the hardware
is Stainless, including
grade 8 at the
suspension, brackets are
all hand made from S.S.
or Aluminum.
The
interior is next in line
but I'm driving it now
and that's what counts. |
